Hello from Aspen Snowmass! I hope you are doing well and staying healthy and safe during these unusual times as we all figure out how to get through this together. We’re enjoying beautiful spring-like weather in Aspen Snowmass, but winter is forecasted to return in the days ahead. The mountains are open for skinning and uphilling and the main slopes are still being groomed to maintain the surface for a possible reopening. While Buttermilk Mountain is closed for the season, we’re holding out hope that the other three mountains can re-open in a limited capacity. Lots of folks are taking advantage of the fun spring ski and snowboard conditions the past days. You’ve gotta earn your turns, but it’s worth it. It feels like early season November on the mountains with no lifts operating. What a great way to get out and enjoy the outdoors while supporting social distancing and helping to protect our communities from the spread of this disease, while getting some exercise and taking in the Elk Mountain majesty.
