Joe Cilic is a licensed attorney and real estate broker with a track record of success, having sold, supervised, or participated in over 4,000 residential real estate transactions totaling more than $5 billion in volume.
With extensive experience in residential real estate, Joe provides clients with invaluable guidance based on his vast deal experience. His clientele, which includes attorneys, commercial brokers, investment bankers, mortgage brokers, entertainment industry executives, and celebrities, value his sophisticated advice, whether they are first-time homebuyers or seasoned real estate insiders.
Joe’s passion for real estate is evident in his personal ventures, where he has bought, renovated, and sold homes for profit. His keen eye for design helps clients prepare their homes for sale or envision possibilities in potential purchases.
Previously, Joe served as senior vice president and branch manager, overseeing five offices and more than 400 agents. Before joining Sotheby’s International Realty, he practiced real estate-related litigation at a prominent Beverly Hills law firm. As a Certified Negotiation Expert, Joe has lectured on real estate topics for Fortune 500 companies, business groups, law school students, and public agencies.
Active in the community, Joe has served on numerous homeowners’ associations and charitable boards, including Children Mending Hearts and KIPP Los Angeles, where he has helped raise tens of millions of dollars in philanthropic donations. He currently serves on the UCLA School of Law Alumni Board of Directors.
When he isn't working or volunteering, Joe can be found spending time with his wife and two young children in Pacific Palisades. A native of Los Angeles, he is well-versed in neighborhoods throughout the Westside, including Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Westwood, Cheviot Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, Westchester, Mar Vista, Marina Del Rey, Venice, and Malibu.
Tennis enthusiasts may recognize the Cilic name from Joe’s cousin, Marin Cilic, a top-ranked tennis professional. Joe holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a bachelor’s degree from St. Edward's University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is a member of the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Board of Realtors and the State Bar of California.
