Aspen Skiing Company is hosting Passapalooza from Friday, December 13th through Sunday, December 15th. This event grants access to all four mountains to those who are 2019-2020 season passholders at any resort in any part of the world. Guests can also enjoy demo packages for $56, $99 clinics, and exclusive lodging deals. There will also be art and light installation pieces at the Snowmass Village Mall, as well as a Snow Bike Cross on Assay Hill at Snowmass Ski Resort. After a long Saturday on the slopes, head over to The Little Nell hotel for their 30th anniversary party. Party Like It’s 1989 is exactly how it sounds, 80’s themed! Wear your best retro ski outfit because there is a costume contest. Enjoy an 80’s music DJ in Chair 9, an 80’s themed band in the Living Room, plus activities in the courtyard. There will be plenty of hors d'oeuvres, themed cocktails, and even a cash bar. To learn more, head over to

If you’re looking to be more in tune with nature and a part of history, head over to Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) for their 120th annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count on Sunday, December 15th. This is the longest-running citizen science study in the world. All bird enthusiasts are welcome and encouraged to join this event. For more information and to register for this event, head over to

Have a safe and happy weekend! Enjoy all the snow!

Mardi Gras Celebration and Klug Properties Carnival Party

Posted on March 4, 2019 by Chris Klug

You don’t have to go to New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras! Head over to Snowmass Village tomorrow, and be a part of their 36-year tradition of bringing Bourbon Street to the Rockies. Festivities begin with The Mother of all Ascensions Uphill Race at 7 am at the bottom of Fanny Hill, followed by parades and bead tossing in the afternoon. Wrap up the night with the Bud light Hi-Fi Concert and fireworks around 7 pm. If you need a break from the celebration in Snowmass, head into Aspen for winter bird watching at ACES and Aspen Historical Society’s Time Travel Tuesday featuring “Aspen Dogs, Tomorrow” at the Wheeler Opera House. If you are looking for something intellectually stimulating on Wednesday, there will be various physics lectures at Aspen Center for Physics and Aspen Science Center. Aspen Center for Environmental Studies is hosting its Wednesday evening Potbelly Perspectives with Hawk Greenway titled Eyewitness to Climate Change: An Aerial Perspective of Denali National Park, and guided art tours at The Aspen Art Museum. On Thursday, come join all of us at Klug Properties for an authentic Carnival party from 3pm – 6pm for some live music and Tapas at! The snow is predicted to continue until the end of the week. Enjoy the fresh pow. Have a happy and safe Mardi Gras! What a week to be in Aspen!
